About Me

My Photo
Hi everyone! Welcome to my blog. I'm a middle aged beauty(yeah right) that loves nail polish along with makeup and skincare. I don't know how much I'll be able to teach but I just want to have fun with this and hope you all do enjoy or at least get a laugh from it. To let you know where I got the name from: I just became a grandmother for the first time on September 13, 2011 and had made it a fact that I would not be granny or grandma. I am gonna be a Mimi, hence the name.

Zoya Neely

Here's another Zoya from the spring 2013 Lovely collection. This one is Neely which is described as full coverage earliest spring green in a glossy cream finish.

I had just a slight problem with this one as a cream but I think it was more a problem with the shape that my nails are in right now rather than the polish formula. Taking so many meds is causing havoc with the health of my nails so creams show every little flaw and don't apply smoothly for me. It is a pretty spring color and was opaque with two coats. Zoya can be purchased here for $8.00.
*This polish was provided to me for my honest opinion and review*

  1. Pretty color on you, Connie. I will keep this one in mind next time Zoya runs one of their specials.

How are you feeling lately? Well, I hope. Off topic, I saw a rheumatologist this week and it turns out she has a very strong suspicion that I have RA. We'll know more after all the blood tests, xrays and MRIs, I hope. At least I can finally put a name to what's going on with me (I hope) and get the right meds (I hope) to help me feel somewhat better.

Thanks for listening, Connie. I wish you nothing but the best of health.

  2. Thanks Sophie.
I sure hate to think you may have RA but if you do, its better to find out so they can get you started on meds that may help and give you relief. RA has changed my life so much, I wouldn't wish it on anyone. I'm still in the trial stages of finding what works for me. The dr. is trying to find something that will help so he can wean me off the prednisone. I may have to start getting injections each week. I'll find out more next month when I go again. Saying a prayer for you that they do find out and can give you relief.

  3. Thank you for your kind wishes and support. You're right; I'd rather know now than not and have it get worse. I hope you don't need painful injections, but if they help, it will be worth it. And getting off the prednisone would be wonderful.
